This project is a newly designed two-bedroom chalet in Valencia, conceived to respond sensitively to the Mediterranean climate while offering a refined and flexible living environment for international clients. Each bedroom includes an en suite bathroom, ensuring privacy and comfort, while a covered porch and swimming pool extend the living experience outdoors, supporting a relaxed indoor–outdoor lifestyle typical of the region.
The architectural design allows the living, dining, and kitchen areas to be opened into a single, flowing space, ideal for entertaining family and guests. When desired, these areas can also function independently, providing adaptability for year-round living. A pantry located off the kitchen enhances functionality, while the living area features an inglenook fireplace that introduces warmth and character for the cooler months.
Careful analysis of the site informed the decision to position the building at the highest point of the plot. This placement maximizes panoramic views across the valley and takes advantage of prevailing sea breezes, promoting natural cross-ventilation and thermal comfort during Valencia’s hot summers. The chalet is arranged in an L-shaped plan, creating a sheltered and private outdoor zone to the rear, protected from prevailing winds and neighbouring views.
The bedroom wing is oriented toward the east, allowing morning light to naturally animate the private spaces and enhance daily rhythms. Three terraces further enrich the experience of the landscape and climate: a south-facing covered terrace designed for summer use, a west-facing terrace for winter afternoons and sunset views with direct access to the pool, and an upper terrace accessed from the study, offering elevated views of the surrounding valley and distant mountains. Together, these elements create a contemporary Mediterranean home rooted in place and lifestyle.
